Biryani comes first
We're Empire Biryani & Grille, on Putnam Pike in Johnston. Biryani is first in our name, and it's the first thing we'd tell you to order.
The biryani
Start with the goat biryani or the chicken dum biryani. The shrimp biryani gets plenty of love too.
Tikka masala and naan
Order the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. And get the honey garlic naan too.
South and North on one menu
Goat Chettinad sits beside lamb rogan josh and chicken saag. Tell us your spice level, mild to medium, and we'll cook to it.
The room
Woodwork and wood tables set the room, with contemporary Indian music playing. Ask at the bar about chess.
Bar, buffet and event space
The bar pours beer, wine and cocktails. We also have an event space, and a Sunday brunch buffet where you can sample a little of everything.
